• You are purchasing a print only. No frame is included. Frames shown in images are for illustrative purposes.  

• Please make sure you have selected the correct size and are happy with your choice as refunds/exchanges will not be given on account of this.

The Image.  

One of the most intense sunsets I’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing, seen from Walla Crag which has fantastic views of Derwentwater over your left shoulder and Keswick over your right. I’ve been coming here in the late summer months for many years now as during mid August, this location is swarming with deep vibrant Heather. I think this year, my timing was spot on for peak colour! At first, things didn’t feel like much was going to happen. Driving to location, I had my windscreen wipers on full as the heavens seemed to be working overtime! The forecast was set to clear about an hour before sunset and for once, the forecast couldn’t have been more on the ball! Like clockwork, an hour before sunset the dull and dark clouds parted, revealing a beautiful layer of high cloud. From the moment the sun dipped behind the Western Fells, the sky put on a show of true beauty! 

 

The Print.  

• I use Professional cameras and lenses in my workflow resulting in exceptional image quality. (The preview images have been reduced in quality for web purposes). All photographs are taken and processed by myself.     

• Prints are produced to a high quality by a professional print supplier. Please allow 3-5 days for your print to arrive.     

• Printed on Smooth Pearl 290gsm; a natural white, heavyweight and instant dry, resin coated paper. The beautiful pearl finish and white point gives a crisp finish with a superb colour gammut.     

•  All prints will be printed at the stated sizes. However, an additional white border can be added to the image to make mounting\framing easier. Please notify me if you would like the print to come with a white border.  

   

Sizes Requiring A Crop.  

 Some sizes may require me to make a small crop to the original image. This is due to the paper size being different to the original aspect ratio (2:3) of the photograph. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need further assistance. Please see below for sizes requiring a crop;  

 

A4, A3, A2, A1, A0 - Small crop required.  

5x7”, 12x16”, 18x24” - Small crop required.  

8x10”, 10x12”, 16x20”, 20x24” - Significant crop required, please contact me before purchasing.  

 

Postage + Packaging.     

• Prints will be carefully packaged in acid-free tissue paper and sent flat in cardboard envelope or rolled within a tube, dependent on size.   

• Please allow 3-5 business days for your print to arrive.
