Absolutely! I’ve had a passion for landscape photography for over a decade now, and the photographs you see have indeed been taken by only myself. Many of the photographs you see are the result of multiple attempts of returning to a location, in the hopes of capturing the landscape in a particular light.

No, absolutely not. My passion apart from photography, is spending time in the great outdoors; being able to witness awe-inspiring moments in nature with my own eyes. It wouldn’t bring me any joy whatsoever to ‘create’ something artificially by typing text prompts into an online image generator. Rest assured, when you purchase my artwork, either for yourself or as a gift, you will receive a photograph based on reality, and not an unrecognisable fantasy.

All my photographs are taken on professional cameras, offering superb high resolution. I’m currently using the Nikon Z8, but before this I was using the Nikon D810; two very capable camera bodies. More importantly, I have always invested in top quality lenses, which capture crisp details and beautiful tones and colours in the landscape.  The preview images you see online have been reduced in quality for web purposes (making sure loading times for my pages are all super-fast).If you would like to see parts of a particular photograph in full resolution, I can provide zoomed in previews with my watermarks attached. Being based just outside the Lake District National Park for over 8 years, I’ve tried to include most of the popular locations in my portfolio. However, I’m always open to suggestions. If you have an area in mind that I haven’t covered, please feel free to get in touch.

Whilst I do not run official group workshops or 1-1 tuition, I am currently looking for individuals who would be interested in working with me to develop my skills and experience with teaching my knowledge of landscape photography in the field. To help me launch professional workshops and tuition in the future, I want to gain a deep understanding of the needs and skills that will be desired by participants in the field. To do this, for a very limited time only, I am offering free, 1-1 landscape photography tuition sessions in The Lake District National Park. What you get: Free, personalized guidance in the field with regards to areas of your photography which you would like to improve, such as composition, mastering your camera settings, and understanding light/weather. What I get: Valuable experience teaching my knowledge and a better understanding of the challenges other landscape photographers face.  If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please do get in touch through my contact page or via email (danielkayvisuals@gmail.com) where we can discuss further.
